ETC Board of Directors

The Board of Directors are responsible for the governance of ETC and sets its Mission and Vision, as well as strategic direction and policies.

The Board selects and reviews the performance of the CEO, and ensures adequate resources are available to permit the CEO to effectively manage the operation of the organisation.

The Board monitors the organisation's operations, approves the annual budget and the Annual Report. The Strategic Plan is reviewed annually by the Board and revised every three to five years to reflect new directions for the Company, and changes to our business environment.

Collectively, our nine Board members bring extensive professional, community oriented and private business expertise to their roles, and have a true passion for the communities in which we operate.

Rod McKelvey CHAIRMAN

Trained in Graphic Arts, Rod is passionate about sustainability and brings to the ETC Board 40 years' experience in business and sustainable farming.

In his Sydney design, printing, and packaging company, he worked with Dr Edward De Bono, the father of lateral thinking, and learned that waste reduction and the responsible use of natural capital are essential for building resilience in businesses and communities.

Rod was Deputy Mayor of Coffs Harbour City Council and a founding member of Think Tank Coffs Harbour 2050.

He continues to promote responsible governance and is experienced in regional and local economic development through facilitating partnerships with the community, business, Indigenous groups, and government agencies.

He has been a member and Chair of many federal, state, and regional government advisory bodies and was Chair of the National Moderation Panel for the 2012 Caring for Our Country Community Action Grants.

Peter Wilson DEPUTY CHAIR

Peter is currently employed by Bellingen Shire Council as Director of Corporate Services. He has extensive senior management experience in Local Government, having been employed in the industry for over 31 years.

Peter holds a Business Degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Local Government Management (GradDipLGM) and Fellow of LGMA NSW.

Peter has been a Board member of ETC since 2007 and is currently Deputy Chair.

Peter received the North Coast Region Excellence in Education Award, in recognition of valuable contributions to education through the NSW Department of Education and Training in December 2006.

His hobbies and interests include cycling and golf as well as being an avid sports fan.

Vincent Butcher COMPANY SECRETARY

Vincent has an extensive background in commercial and business law. He is also an expert in contracts, land acquisition, commercial leasing, intellectual property, estates and property law.

He is currently the Practice Group Leader - Business and Private Clients at Slater & Gordon Lawyers in Coffs Harbour. Previously he was a partner at Crane Butcher McKinnon Lawyers.

Vincent holds a Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Psychology and Recreation and a Bachelor of Laws.

Vincent has been a Board member of the Mid North Coast Community Care Options and a member of Rotary Day Break in Coffs Harbour

Tracey Adendorff DIRECTOR

Tracey is the Executive Officer of Coffs Coast Tourism, a membership funded industry organisation that works closely with Industry and Council to create opportunities for business to participate in the growth of tourism in the region. Tracey worked in the advertising industry, training at Saatchi & Saatchi and worked on key FMCG accounts such as Procter & Gamble, and Colgate. Tracey graduated while working in advertising and subsequently obtained a post-graduate Diploma in Marketing Management. After nine years in advertising, Tracey was engaged as the Product Manager for Columbia TriStar/Sony Pictures reporting directly into the USA and the UK. Further opportunities enabled her to Project Manage the European expansion of the largest Cinema Chain in South Africa into Europe and Dubai before finally settling in Australia. Tracey is interested in initiatives that will grow the region and are sustainable in the long term.

Spencer Bruskin DIRECTOR

Spencer has, throughout his career, been a documentary film director, writer and editor, a Naval officer, forest manager and silviculturist, forest fire management officer and published researcher. He has been involved for many years in NSW regional development and in local economic development.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications from New York University and a Master of Science in Forest Management from Washington State University. He has over 35 years of experience in the management of large organisations in the US and Australia and has extensive experience in strategic and regional planning.

Graeme Singleton DIRECTOR
An award-winning journalist with more than 25 years experience in TV news, current affairs and lifestyle programs, as well as print media, Graeme is a third generation Coffs Harbour local. Graeme won the Bicentennial "Peter" Award for Broadcast journalism when he was a senior reporter with ABC-TV news. Graeme is also a qualified teacher and has worked with unemployed youth and adults. Lorraine Mouafi DIRECTOR

Lorraine's background includes commercial accounting in advertising, drafting and computing enterprises. After 12 years as an Accountant she changed direction and entered into senior sales and marketing functions within the computer industry.

In 1990, Lorraine entered the private vocational education and training market in senior business management roles. In 1994, she commenced with TAFE NSW Corporate Marketing as the Commercial Client Services Manager/Business Support Manager with primary responsibility for providing commercial marketing intelligence and business development support to 12 Institute Business Development Managers across NSW. In 2006, Lorraine met the requirements set by the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) as a Master Project Director.During 2007, Lorraine relocated to the newly established TAFE NSW National Business Office, where she provided business and project management support for growth market areas to assist large clients in workforce development.

Simon Reid

DIRECTOR

Simon Reid is a Business and Personal Wealth Adviser with ANZ and has been with the company for almost four years. Servicing business and retail clients from Kempsey to Yamba, Simon provides knowledge and expertise in long term wealth creation, structural strategies, retirement planning, succession planning, personal insurances and superannuation. 

Simon draws upon a diversified background and is passionate about wealth creation. He has previously worked as a Stockbroker with ABN Amro Morgans. Prior to that, he owned and operated a successful local business.

Living on the Coffs Coast for 17 years, Simon enjoys the coastal lifestyle with his wife and three children.

Michelle Geddes DIRECTOR

As a Senior Associate at Bentley, Brett & Vincent, Michelle has been in the accounting and taxation industry since 1995 having started her degree in 1993. After qualifying she moved to the UK and was employed as a senior management accountant with a large multinational firm, before returning to Australia.

Having completed her Masters in Taxation and as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (CA), Michelle is committed to providing the highest level of professional expertise to her clients.

Michelle is experienced in all areas of taxation including superannuation and international tax law. She has a particular focus on attending to the accounting and financial needs of the medical and dental community with whom she has a close professional relationship.
