Jenny has extensive small business management experience. She has worked in retail management for 15 years and more recently has spent seven years working in the employment services industry. Reason for joining ETC: I really enjoy working in the Employment Services Sector. I find it very rewarding, yet challenging. The Employment Services team hopes to continue its tremendous work in changing people's lives for the better. Paul joined ETC after having spent five years within the PCYC movement as Site and Regional Manager. Prior to this Paul spent 10 years in the New Zealand Defence Force as a Physical Training Officer looking after the base sporting facilitates and organisation of sports events. Reason for joining ETC: Having worked within the not-for-profit sector and for a youth organisation, I have a passion for helping people. Karina spent 10 years as an Associate Lecturer in academia prior to starting at ETC. This role included teaching and researching areas of business management. Karina has also been a Director of two companies and brings a wealth of both practical and theoretical knowledge of small business to her current position. Reason for joining ETC: I joined ETC to further my practical skills in the area of small business. After six months as a business facilitator, I accepted the role of NBSM which includes the management of the NEIS program from Southport to Sydney. Darren was the store owner of The Athletes Foot franchises in Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour from 2000 to 2008. He was a winner of the "Sunnys" Coffs Coast Small Business Awards in 2000 and 2001, and received numerous shopping centre awards for business excellence between 2005 and 2008. Darren was Marketing and Retail Manager of Park Beach Plaza / HomeBase and Orana Mall in Dubbo. He was the 2006 finalist at the National Shopping Centre Marketing Awards. Darren is the current store owner of Swimwear Australia, in Park Beach Plaza, Coffs Harbour.
