With group workshops of no more than 10 participants and one-to-one support with trained facilitators, this six month program will help you to work on almost every aspect of your business while building rapport with a local network of like-minded business owners.

Mentoring Mates
Mentoring Programs have been credited for the success of many diverse businesses. ETC's Mentoring Mates program will benefit you by providing step-by-step guidance to gain a better insight into how marketing, financial management and business planning can be easily implemented into your business, and create positive outcomes.

Skills Training Workshops

ETC Business Solutions offers a range of business-related seminars, programs and networking opportunities to help support you in your business.

Below is a description of training workshops designed for people wanting to start a new business, as well as experienced business operators looking to improve their skills and grow their businesses.

We also host Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), Department of Fair Trading, WorkCover, Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other industry-specific presentations throughout the year.

Our skills training workshops include:

 

Mentoring for Success (partially funded by the Australian Government)

Cost:  $440.00 for BusinessClub members; $750.00 for non-members

This business coaching program is designed for the established business owner.  The program includes group workshops and one-to-one mentoring sessions for the business owner.  As this program runs for 6 months, it is a great opportunity to develop strong supportive links with other like-minded business people, and with a business mentor/coach.

Mentoring Mates

Cost:  $995.00 for BusinessClub members; $1,050.00 for non-members

This program will benefit those who require step-by-step guidance to gain better insight into how marketing, financials and business planning can positively impact on, and be easily implemented into, their new business.  Interactive workshops and group mentoring sessions form the basis of this program.


The Art of Start

Cost:  $75.00 for BusinessClub members; $75.00 for non-members

This informative workshop is perfect for the potential small business operator with an idea, but unsure about what is involved in starting up a business!  Topics include:

  • Basic facts about business
  • Your suitability as a small business operator
  • Legal and financial considerations

Sales & Selling

Cost:  $165.00 for BusinessClub members; $210.00 for non-members

This course is designed for owners, managers and staff, and will focus on the selling skills required to build your business.  How do you reach your customers?  What makes customers keep coming back?  How do you up-sell and increase the average sale per customer?  Come and find out!

Smart Marketing

Cost:  $75.00 for BusinessClub members; $75 for non-members

This introductory workshop provides information and concepts to assist you to develop a marketing and selling approach for the products and services of your current, or proposed, small business.  It will lead you through the process of identifying your customers, researching their needs, providing products and services based on those needs, and developing an effective promotional approach.  Topics include:

  • Basic concepts of marketing and sales

Improving Retail Skills

A series of 4 x 1.5 hour seminars for retail shop owners, managers and staff designed to increase your sales and improve your profit margin.  This will be an out-of-hours seminar style course designed to boost the skills of all retail staff.

Introduction to Business Planning

Cost:  $75.00 for BusinessClub members; $75.00 for non-members

This informative workshop outlines the main components of business planning with participants identifying their skills and strengths through a SWOT analysis.  During this workshop you will start developing a Business Plan.

DIY Business Planning Course

Cost:  $385.00 for BusinessClub members; $435.00 for non-members

This 1-day course includes receiving your own business planning software and workbooks. You will be guided through each section of the business plan process to assist with the development of your Business Plan.

All Above Board - Legal Issues

Cost:  $75.00 for BusinessClub members; $75.00 for non-members

This workshop provides a snapshot of the main legal issues that must be addressed in all businesses.  Topics range from business structures, contracts and insurance, to the legal responsibilities business owners have to their employees.
