ETC's efforts in supporting Indigenous people to find work, access training and establish business enterprises have recently been enhanced through our appointment to two Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) panels under the Indigenous Employment Program (IEP) - the Economic Development and Business Support Panel and the Employment Panel.

This qualifies ETC to quote for Commonwealth government initiated projects and services under the IEP program and provides us with the means to proactively work within local communities, in partnership with DEEWR, to identify and resource suitable projects.

Just a few examples of the many projects and activities which ETC may be involved in under the IEP program include:

  • Business mentoring
  • Supporting joint venture activities
  • Culturally appropriate business skills training
  • Building the capacity of Indigenous people to find work
  • The development of recruitment, retention and succession strategies
  • Providing on-the-job training and up-skilling
  • Facilitating traineeships, apprenticeships and school-based traineeships
