New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS) helps eligible unemployed people to start and run their own business.
What does NEIS provide?
NEIS offers approved applicants:
- NEIS income support for 12 months
- Free business advice and mentoring
- Small business management training
- Development of a business plan
- Development of a marketing strategy

Five Easy Steps to NEIS
- Contact your local ETC NEIS Office to book a time with a NEIS Facilitator
- Complete a NEIS Application Form.pdf and once approved, enrol in ETC's Certificate III in Micro Business Operations or Certificate IV in Small Business Management
- Create a Business Plan to accelerate your business success
- At the end of training, your Business Plan is submitted to the NEIS Government authority (DEEWR) for final approval
- If approved, you will receive free business advice and mentoring support for the first year of business operation.
