The Coffs Harbour community is set to benefit with a permanent home for the Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium thanks to Enterprise & Training Company Ltd (ETC) agreeing to become a founding provider.
"The financial commitment from ETC for the next five years has provided a pivotal turning point for the Conservatorium and the local community," Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium President, Garry Nehl, AM, said.
"Over the past 25 years we have leased many premises, and thanks to ETC's support we, and the local music community, will now have the opportunity to secure a permanent home for the Conservatorium."
"We now have the option to expand our services to provide more and better quality music education for children, young adults, disability service providers and primary schools," Mr Nehl said.
ETC Chairman, Spencer Bruskin said the decision to support the Conservatorium as a founding provider was consistent with ETC's strategic objectives.
"ETC prides itself on giving back. As a not-for-profit organisation all surplus generated from ETC's operations are reinvested in the community and back into the company. It's just one of the many ways ETC helps to create a positive future for the communities in which we operate," Mr Bruskin said.
"Over the past five years, ETC is proud to have contributed significant funding from donations, sponsorship and financial support to different organisations and charities based on the Mid North Coast.
"We are delighted to become a founding provider of the Conservatorium and thrilled the Coffs region can continue to benefit from the musical education offered by the Conservatorium," Mr Bruskin said.
