ETC (Enterprise & Training Company Limited) has donated all raffle ticket proceeds at the recent BusinessClub Christmas function to the Coffs Harbour Uniting Church Soup Kitchen. Soup Kitchen volunteer, Joan Howlett said she was thrilled ETC could provide some financial assistance. "We don't receive any Government funding and rely on the generosity of the local community to feed up to 250 people a week," Ms Howlett said. "Our Soup Kitchen provides a substantial lunch service and is opened almost every day of the year." ETC's General Manager Michael Close said ETC prided itself on giving back. "As a not-for-profit organisation all surplus generated from ETC's operations is reinvested in the community and back into the company. It's just one of the many ways ETC helps to create a positive future for the communities in which we operate," Mr Close said. The BusinessClub, a not-for-profit membership based networking and business support club, relies on sponsorship to provide high quality speakers to the Coffs Coast business community. "We would like to announce that Park Beach Plaza & Homebase and Club Coffs are our new major and corporate sponsors respectively", Mr Close said. The new sponsors join ETC's existing valued sponsors; Commonwealth Bank, Coffs Harbour City Council, Coffs Business Machines, Bananacoast Credit Union, Signarama, Geoff King Holden and the Coffs Coast Conference & Camping Centre. If you would like to sponsor the BusinessClub or support the monthly networking meetings as a member, call Wendy Allgood on 02 6648 5400 before 30 November and enjoy a 10% discount on membership. |
