Thirty local business women have united to grow their businesses by joining Women in Business, a mentoring program delivered by the Enterprise & Training Company (ETC) on behalf of the Department of State and Regional Development.
The first workshop, Understanding Your Business Finance, was a huge success. Tracy Collins, a qualified accountant, designed the workshop for small business owners to improve their understanding of the financial aspects and increase profits of their business.
"Finance has never been my best asset. This was far more enjoyable and interesting than I thought it would be. Thank you, I'm inspired to do my ratio's!" said Berenice Snowden, participant of the program.
Ann Cummings will present the second workshop, Business Planning. With over 20 years of business experience and diversity across all fields of retailing, wholesaling, marketing, and distribution, Ms Cummings has gained an excellent reputation for innovation and business excellence.
"I am passionate about working with small to medium enterprises looking to streamline their operations and processes," Ms Cummings said.
"It is important for small businesses to realise their potential and plan to achieve predictable results in order to compete with larger companies."
The Business Planning workshop will begin tomorrow, Tuesday 30 June at Coffs Harbour Ex Services Club.
Registrations are now closed for this program. However, later this month a new mentoring program begins. The Mentoring for Success program is to be delivered by ETC and is partially funded by the Australian Government.
