ETC is expanding its training services into Victoria in 2010 through the delivery of short training courses and traineeships to Australian Home Care. The training will assist some of the 2,900 support workers employed by Australian Home Care - a not-for-profit company providing in-home and respite care to clients throughout NSW and Victoria.
In Queensland, ETC has been appointed to the government's panel of providers of the JobsAssist program. This program is designed to help vulnerable business become more resilient in Brisbane, Caboolture and the Sunshine Coast.
ETC's general manager, Michael Close said the new contracts are an important part of ETC's strategy to become a sustainable provider of employment, training and business services.
"It's always pleasing to secure new contracts," Mr Close said. "It helps us achieve our mission of empowering people through employment, business growth and skills development."
Mr Close said other good news for the company is to have its contract expanded to provide lawn and garden maintenance services to Department of Housing properties beyond Coffs Harbour to include Grafton as well.
"ETC has been working with the Department of Housing for the past three years and it's a real credit to our Encore team to have this contract extended for a further five years," Mr Close said.
Finally, ETC has recently been notified of its success in securing funding to provide "Links to Learning" training for a further three years. Funded by NSW Department of Education and Training, "Links to Learning" aims to assist young people who are experiencing difficulties participating in mainstream education or training.
