NEIS is the key to business success!

Many successful new businesses are thriving in Coffs Harbour, thanks to the Australian Government's New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS) program delivered by Enterprise & Training Company (ETC).

ETC's National Business Solutions Manager, Karina Morrison said K'Pane Artisan Bakery at the Jetty, Running Wild Adventures who appeared on Sydney Weekender and Thirst specialising in healthy juices and smoothies are just a few successful businesses in the area who participated in the program.

"The NEIS program is the key to business success. It is a fantastic opportunity to embark on a new business venture, receive a qualification in small business management while receiving mentoring and financial support for 12 months", Ms Morrison said.

Continuous mentoring, guidance and support has provided Annette Payne and Maree Tracey from Thirst additional confidence and drive to ensure their business remains viable.

"ETC's experienced mentors are fantastic. It is great to get free advice from people who have set-up a business and understand what we go through on a day-to-day basis", Ms Tracey said.

"Also understanding the importance of a thorough business plan and undertaking extensive market research were crucial elements I gained from the program. Our business would have definitely failed without the NEIS program", Ms Payne added.

The NEIS program assists eligible people to start and run their own business. From 1 July, ETC has received additional placements. If you have a business idea or are interested in more information, please contact John or Charlotte Reah at ETC on 0408 894 192 or 02 6648 5400.
