Training is the key to productivity!

Two on-job trainee's at Clark Rubber have just graduated from ETC's Certificate III in Retail and, are eager to put their new skills into action.

Clark Rubber Franchise Owner, Brett Goodfellow said Traineeships are fundamental to business productivity.

"I have supported Traineeships for many years as I can see the benefits in my staff and especially, my bottom line.

ETC tailored the Certificate III in Retail to my business requirements, providing my staff with practical knowledge that can easily be replicated into my business to produce results.

Receiving the 2009 Homebase Retailer Awards for Customer Service proves we are getting something right," Mr Goodfellow added.

Trainee graduates Ross Cameron and Steve Thick agree the training is flexible and very relevant to their day-to-day operations.

"It is great to complete a nationally recognised qualification, get a lot of ideas then put the theory into practice and see them work", Mr Cameron said.

"Our trainer Cindi Sotheren is fantastic, providing us with enough flexibility to manage our job and study at the same time. Also, we are lucky Brett supports further study and has given us the opportunity to learn more," Mr Thick added.

ETC's General Manager Michael Close said to help off-set costs, government assistance is available to eligible businesses.

"The Australian Government Incentive Program provides some financial assistance to eligible employers who participate in employment-based training and is a fantastic opportunity for businesses to combine training in the workplace," Mr Close added.
