This is a WorkCover NSW Accredited Course that is legally required for all NSW construction and building workers.

- OH&S responsibilities at the workplace
- Outline of responsibilities of supervisors
- Reporting mechanisms for unsafe conditions and accidents/incidents
- Consultation at the workplace
- Health and safety information at the workplace
- Identifying safety signs
- Role and function of health and safety committees
- Principles of risk management (identification, assessment and control).
Overview of common industry hazards including manual handling, hazardous substances, noise, operation of plant, UV radiation, HIV and blood borne infection, electrical work, working near traffic, working at heights, hazards associated with drugs and alcohol
- The function of safe work method statements
- Personal protective equipment
- Emergencies and first aid requirements
- Workers compensation and injury management

THIS COURSE HAS EVIDENCE OF IDENTITY (EOI) REQUIREMENTS COURSE PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE 100 POINTS OF I.D. ON THE DAY OF THE COURSE.
