To help you find work, as a Job Network member ETC performs an Employment Services Contract for the Commonwealth Government. There are some key steps you need to understand about applying for a vacancy listed with ETC.

Step 1 - Job Seeker Number back
You need to have an active job seeker ID number. If you are not sure if your job seeker number is active, check with Centrelink. Alternatively our helpful staff will be able to advise you of the correct steps to take. |
Step 2 - Vocational Profile back
One of the first steps to finding employment is to have a Vocational Profile completed with an ETC Employment Mentor. Our qualified staff will assist you with detailing your education, work experience and skills. Once this is completed you will be able to use the Job Network kiosk and Job Network website to see what positions you may be qualified to apply for. Always remember, if you are not sure about something, ask one of our consultants. Please bring your resume to this interview. |
Step 3 - Activity Agreement back
If after three months you have not been successful in finding employment, you will be entitled to extra assistance. An appointment will be made with one of our Employment Mentors who will work with you in planning the steps you need to take to reach your goals. These steps will form the basis of your Activity Agreement and this will be reviewed and updated with you at regular intervals. |
