Is your business website ‘mobile-friendly’?
As of the 21st of April, Google have been penalising websites that aren’t what it considers ‘mobile-friendly’.
What does this mean for your business website?
Now, when someone searches Google from their mobile device (phones and , higher rankings will be given to websites that have been identified as mobile-friendly. So if you’re website isn’t mobile-friendly, you could be appearing lower in search results – and potentially losing website visitors.
What makes mobile-friendly website?
There are several ways a website can be made to work effectively on phones and devices. Apps, dedicated mobile sites, and what’s known as ‘responsive design’ can all help make your site ‘mobile-friendly’.
How do I know if my website’s mobile friendly?
Google have made it easy to check if your website’s mobile-friendly.
Just go to https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/ and enter your website address.
