Small businesses on the Coffs Coast will be able to access high quality business mentoring in Coffs Harbour’s City Square on Monday 25 February, with the arrival of the Small Biz Bus from 9.30am – 5.30pm.
The Small Biz Bus is a mobile information and mentoring service, aiming to help people looking to start their own business or improve an existing business.
“It’s easy to get caught up in the day to day reality of running a business, but speaking to a mentor can help you view your business from a new perspective, and can be an effective sounding board to help you think about problems in a new light,” Yasmin King, NSW Small Business Commissioner said.
To book a free appointment with a business mentor visit www.smallbusiness.nsw.gov.au or call 1300 134 359.
Your local Small Biz Connect provider, Enterprise and Training Company Limited (ETC) will also be on hand on the day and can be contacted for business advice and mentoring throughout the year on 02 6648 5400.
Therapy by Email
One of the hundreds of clients who has been mentored by an ETC Business Consultant as part of the Small Biz Connect program is local natural therapist Paola Bignu.
ETC’s Business Consultant Fiona Barden has helped Paola set up her new business Healing Flowers by providing advice on marketing, including setting up a website, as well as expert guidance on copyright and trademarking.
Paola uses flower essence therapy to assist clients with every life situation and is offering them through a self-help process on her website www.healingflowers.com.au.
As an additional means of assisting through this type of therapy, Paola is able to be emailed on firstname.lastname@example.org with the issues you are experiencing and she can develop a personalised formula for you – in a way it’s a little like therapy by email.
“Fiona has helped me a lot. She has been fantastic and has given me all the information I need,” Ms Bignu said.
