Civil Mining and Energy recruitment provider CoreStaff has been announced as the Enterprise & Training Company Limited (ETC) Employer of the Month.
Recruitment Consultant for NSW, Alexandria Lindstrom said it was exciting for CoreStaff to be recognised for the employment opportunities they have created for the Nambucca region.
“I’m pretty chuffed about us being awarded as ETC Employer of the Month,” Ms Lindstrom said.
“CoreStaff is a great company to work for and provides lots of opportunities for its existing and potential employees.”
CoreStaff has provided employment for local job seekers in the Nambucca region at the Warrell Creek Depot.
“So far we have recruited four staff through ETC and we hope for that number to grow,” Ms Lindstrom said.
“My advice for local job seekers is to do your research and just be positive. It can be hard figuring out what you want to do, but with ETC’s help you can pick an industry and pursue that avenue.”
Ms Lindstrom said CoreStaff looks for specific skill-sets and behaviours when recruiting new candidates.
“ETC has good experience with screening and identifying those characteristics we are looking for in candidates. ETC provides quality and we have a lot of trust with ETC’s services,” Ms Lindstrom said.
Nambucca local Brody Simon recently secured employment at the Warrell Creek Depot as a soil tester.
“I was at ETC for only a month and then I got an interview with Alex from CoreStaff,” Mr Simon said.
“I really like the work, its fun and I like the people I work with.”
According to Mr Simon, other job seekers just need to get out there and look for work.
“You can’t find work just sitting around at home,” Mr Simon said.
