Small businesses in the Illawarra will soon have access to more resources with the appointment of Enterprise & Training Company Limited (ETC), to deliver the Small Biz Connect program in the region.
NSW Small Business Commissioner Yasmin King said: “I am delighted to announce the new partnership with Enterprise & Training Company. They will deliver tailored, face-to-face support to small business in the Illawarra.”
“Through Small Biz Connect, ETC will bring a minimum of 2,750 hours of support per annum to small businesses in the area.” Ms King said.
The Office of the NSW Small Business Commissioner recognises the importance of having business advisors with local knowledge available for small businesses. ETC will employ three small business experts who will travel around the region and provide face-to-face assistance to small businesses.
Established for over 20 years, ETC provides business, employment and training services in regional areas. ETC is a not-for-profit organisation which actively supports the local communities in which it operates.
“ETC has been helping small businesses throughout regional NSW for the past 24 years and we’re very excited to be soon delivering Small Biz Connect in the Illawarra,” ETC CEO Michael Close said.
“Named the Best Regional BEC in 2012, ETC has the skills and experience to help small businesses prosper and grow.
“ETC already successfully delivers the Small Biz Connect program on the Mid North Coast between Coffs Harbour and Taree and we are excited to expand our services into the Illawarra.”
Small Biz Connect is funded by the NSW Government and will link with other business support services such as the Commonwealth Government’s Enterprise Connect program, as well as initiatives of Local Government and private enterprise.
