How to Impress for Success

According to leading etiquette consultant and former model Gina Szary, it is impossible to overstate the importance of good manners in today’s fast paced world.  “Your manners, body language and appearance speak much louder than words,” says Gina, “and they are often the determining factor in how you are perceived in social, professional and family situations”.

Gina grew up in Germany and had a career as a successful model before moving with her husband and family to Coffs Harbour. Gina has been hosting her “Impress for Success” workshops on the Coffs Coast for 14 years and is very proud of the achievements of her former students.

“Learning the importance of good manners and polite behaviour in society provides young people with so much confidence. Our interactive workshops help to create a strong positive image and people learn to become good conversationalists and how to handle themselves in all situations including customer service and job interviews,” said Gina.

The Impress for Success workshops are designed to equip young people with skills they will carry with them for the rest of their life. Experience has shown that children working alongside their peers is the most effective way for them to learn. As a result the workshops will cover three different age groups: 8-11 years, 12-15 years and 16 years plus. There are also personal development workshops aimed at professionals. “I predict”, says Gina, “that despite social media changing many of the traditional rules, good manners and etiquette will become even more highly valued in the world and play a major role in paving the way for future success.”

Gina’s tips for success:

  1. Be true to yourself – recognize, appreciate, and develop your unique talents
  2. Follow your values and common sense – stand up for what you believe in
  3. Listen to the advice of others, but make up your own mind.
