What is a Traineeship? back
A traineeship combines employment with an opportunity to undertake structured training that will lead to a nationally recognised qualification. Traineeships are available for people aged between 16 and 64 years.

Traineeships provide a number of benefits for employers:

Trainees become increasingly skilled, productive and motivated as they learn about your business and industry;
Employers may be eligible to receive attractive financial incentives;
Structured training is paid for by the NSW Department of Education and Training; and
Training may be completed on-job or in the classroom, depending on the needs for your business.

The training team is committed to excellence in customer service, providing ongoing support such as on-line or telephone communications and responding to any requests for assistance as soon as possible.

Our training programs and assessment procedures are based on the high standard of the Australian Qualifications Training Framework (AQTF).

Our training and assessing staff are experienced qualified professionals.

Off-Job Training back
Off-job training is structured training provided by ETC to complement on-job instruction.

Classes are held weekly in each of our training centres. Classes are kept small to ensure our training staff can provide a more personalised service to each trainee.

As a local company we understand the needs of local industry and therefore offer flexibility and immediate starts at any time of the year.

Flexible Work-Based Training back
Trainees undertaking flexible work-based traineeships complete their training in the workplace. training is provided by the workplace coach or supervisor and is supported by ETC.

ETC supports trainees in the following ways:

Assist with the development of a training plan and training strategies
Monitor the trainee's progress
Deliver off-job training of required
Organise workplace assessments
