Fee Free training for year 12 graduates
Year 12 graduates have been able to access fee-free training in high priority areas from January 2014.
To be eligible for fee-free training, Year 12 graduates need to commence training in a high priority qualification with a pre-approved training provider within the calendar year following their completion of Year 12.
Certificate 3 Guarantee
ETC is a pre-qualified supplier (PQS) who are approved to deliver subsidised training and assessment services in Queensland.
The Certificate 3 Guarantee gives eligible Queenslanders access to subsidised government training.
Higher Level Skills Program
The Higher Level Skills program is a key initiative under the Queensland Government’s five-year training reform action plan that provides a government subsidy to support eligible individuals to access one subsidised training place in selected certificate IV level and above qualifications, or priority skill sets.
Skilling Queenslanders for Work
This program helps Queenslanders to gain nationally recognised skills and vocational qualifications in Aged Care, Home and Community Care or Disability Work. The program focuses on developing an individual’s skills, supporting them to begin a learning pathway to gain a certificate III qualification.
Community Learning Program
ETC is approved to deliver a Queensland Community Learning Program Project in the Gold Coast region. The program consists of accredited training at Certificate II and Certificate III levels plus individualised learning support and has been developed for participants to gain the relevant skills and knowledge to maximise job opportunities in the retail, aged care and disability service sectors.

Get Set For Work – Certificate III in Business + Customer Service – BSB30115
Certificate III in Business + Customer Service will develop your skills needed to start a career in Office, Retail, Hospitality and Customer Service roles. This course includes work placement and is supported through the Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.
Certificate III in Business – BSB30115
Certificate III in Business will provide you with skills in customer service, business and financial processes, business document production and organising work priorities.
Certificate III in Business Administration – BSB30415
Certificate III in Business Administration will develop your skills to apply a broad range of administrative abilities in a work environment, using some discretion and judgement and provide technical advice and support to a team.
Certificate IV in Business – BSB40215
Certificate IV in Business will develop your skills to problem solve, analyse and evaluate various situations in the workplace. You will also acquire skills that will enable you to provide leadership and guidance to others.

Learn the fundamentals required for a career in Aged Care / Home and Community Care (HACC) and Disability and hear from guest speakers and specialists in the industry. Then it’s up to you to decide what type of client and work environment is right for you, choosing between a qualification in Aged Care/HACC or Disability.
Retail courses at ETC Gold Coast
Certificate II in Retail – SIR20216
Certificate II in Retail will teach you the skills and knowledge to be competent in a range of activities and functions requiring basic retail operational knowledge and limited practical skills. Work would be undertaken in various retail store settings, such as speciality stores, supermarkets, department stores and retail fast food outlets.
Certificate III in Retail – SIR30216
Certificate III in Retail will teach you how to be competent in retail operations and/or supervision. Work would include settings such as specialty stores, supermarkets, department stores and retail fast food outlets.
Certificate IV in Retail Management – SIR40316
Certificate IV in Retail Management will teach you how to be competent in the management skills of those working in the retail and/or wholesale industries. Work would include managing a small retail outlet, a department within a larger retail store, a small wholesale outlet, or a department within a larger wholesale business.
